Step 01 — Research
Weekly research trigger
A scheduled automation in Zapier or n8n fires every Tuesday morning EST. It calls the Claude API with a prompt scoped to six topic areas tied to TravioNow's market position in AI-native travel intelligence.
  • AI in travel and hospitality — enterprise adoption stories
  • Loyalty program design and personalization trends
  • Traveler behavioral data and prediction models
  • Dynamic pricing and yield management shifts
  • Travel tech stack evolution and vendor consolidation
  • Regulatory, privacy, and data governance moves affecting travel
Tool chain: Zapier/n8n → Claude API → Google Sheets API write
Step 02 — Research
Research tab populated
Each trend is written to the Research tab with a formula-generated ID. The Google Sheet is connected via the Sheets API using a service account and JSON key — no manual access needed in automated steps.
  • Research ID — formula: R-001, R-002...
  • Trend Title — short descriptive name
  • Source Link — original article or data source
  • Problem / Challenge — pain point surfaced
  • Why It Matters to TravioNow — positioning link
  • Pillar Connection — maps to one of TravioNow's content pillars
  • Approval Status — blank until reviewed
Hosting: Google Sheets API + service account. No separate hosting required for the data layer.
Step 03 — Review
Dashboard notification sent
Once the Research tab is populated, an automated notification goes to the founding team via Slack or email with a direct link to the hosted dashboard.
The dashboard is built and hosted by Motevo Co on Vercel. It reads live from the Google Sheet and displays all new research entries with inline approval controls.
Notification fires same Tuesday morning as sheet population. Channel TBD per client preference.
Step 04 — Review
Trend review and approval
The team has Tuesday afternoon through Wednesday EOD — roughly 36 hours — to review and mark each trend on the dashboard.
  • Include — greenlit for Thursday ideation run
  • Table — hold for a future week
  • Remove — not relevant, dropped
Anything not actioned by the deadline is automatically held. Late approvals wait for the following Thursday cycle.
Step 05 — Ideation
Content ideation runs
A second scheduled automation fires Thursday morning EST. It reads Include-tagged trends and runs ideation against three inputs simultaneously.
  • Approved trend and its problem context
  • Relevant content pillar and TravioNow differentiator
  • Existing Asset Library and Ideation tab titles — duplicate check
Same topic, fresh angle — acceptable. Same framing or headline — flagged and skipped. Five ideas per batch, written to the Ideation tab.
n8n/Zapier → Claude API (with Asset Library context injected) → Sheets write to Ideation tab
Step 06 — Ideation
Idea review on dashboard
Ideas appear in a second dashboard section, separate from research. Each card shows everything needed to make a quick approval call.
  • Idea ID and source Research ID
  • Working headline
  • Pillar and differentiator
  • Post or article type
  • Asset it points to
  • Assigned voice
  • 2-3 sentence angle description
Step 07 — Brief
Writer brief generated and filed
When an idea hits Approved to Proceed, the automation generates a Google Doc brief and saves it to a dedicated Drive folder. One Doc per approved idea. Linked from the Ideation tab row.
  • Intent summary — what it's doing and who it's for
  • Pillar and differentiator
  • Format and length guidance
  • Recommended CTA
  • High-level outline with section flow
  • Two or three thought starters
Filed to: /TravioNow / Content Briefs / Week of [date] / [Idea ID] — [Title].gdoc
Step 08 — Production
Task created, content produced
The Google Sheet is the source of truth for all approved ideas. A team member creates a project management task per idea, referencing the Drive brief. The writer picks it up and produces in their own voice.
Once published, the Asset Library is updated with the live URL — keeping the duplicate-check logic current for future ideation runs.
Automated task creation is a future phase. Manual creation is the v1 approach.
